Job Description

The Forklift Driver is responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to transport goods and materials throughout the warehouse or production facility. This role requires adherence to safety protocols and efficient operation to ensure timely delivery of products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate forklifts to move, load, and unload materials in a safe and efficient manner.

  • Inspect forklifts and other equipment before use to ensure they are in proper working condition.

  • Follow safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe work environment.

  • Perform inventory checks and assist in maintaining accurate inventory records.

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and timely deliveries.

  • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.

  • Adhere to company policies and procedures related to material handling.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Valid forklift operator certification.

  • Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting preferred.

  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.

  • Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.

  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

Working Conditions

  • May require standing for long periods and lifting heavy items.
